Resources specific to the PhD programme
Since its inception, the programme’s activities have been centred at the Faculty of Fine Arts on the Pontevedra campus, located in the city centre. This faculty provides the programme with all the necessary facilities and services: lecture theatres, a computer room, technical workshops, a library, meeting rooms and offices. A dedicated room has been set up for thesis presentations and defences, equipped with the necessary technical resources both for the defence itself (computer, video projector) and, if required, to enable thesis defences to be conducted entirely remotely or in a blended format.
The administrative management of the programme is the responsibility of the Academic Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, a service located within the same centre and currently staffed by two people. Consequently, the aforementioned faculty is considered the students’ home institution for the purposes of administrative procedures and student representation.

The programme has access to the University of Vigo’s institutional material and virtual resources, both centrally, at the institutional premises on the three campuses (Ourense, Pontevedra and Vigo), and decentrally, both in the faculties and schools and in the research structures (research centres and institutes, support centres).
